Along the Ridge

Great Wall of China

Looking across the mountains, the wall continues from ridge to ridge until it begins to disappear into the distance. Standing there, what struck me wasn't simply the landscape, but the scale of what people were able to build across it. The farther I looked, the harder it became to comprehend the amount of work it must have taken to create something this immense.
